Week 1: Completed!

My first week on Weight Watchers has been awesome!  I had hit a little trouble Saturday at work.  I work around tons of fried crap at my second job (stadium food).  I should have brought more veggies and fruits to munch on since none of that is available down there.... but it was a little late when I noticed.  I did eat a bit of the buttery popcorn, but luckily I had enough activity points to cover that.  Otherwise, I have been very motivated to work hard and stay on the right track.  I am very happy with my results of my first full week!

Week 1
Beginning Weight:  253.4
Current Weight:  249.6
Weight Loss:  3.8

Positive Attitude

It has only been 3 days, but so far I am truly loving Weight Watchers. Instead of eating all that crap that leaves me feeling hungry, I am eating better and feel full before eating all my points.  I feel like I have more energy because I am eating more fruits and vegetables.  I do need to work on the exercising portion, but I do not want to make too many changes at once.  I do not want to do too many changes at once, I want to make sure I am successful in this journey.  I am happy with how things are proceeding so far.  I know I will have my ups and my downs, but that is part of the journey.  I have some very supportive people in my life right now, and that is key.  I am doing this for me, and no one else.... but it is nice to know that I have people I can lean on when I need them.

The Start of the New Me....

Tonight I attended my first Weight Watchers meeting.  I have decided that I can not keep living this unhealthy lifestyle.  I am only 26 years old, yet I have been experiencing back problems, other aches and pains, and shortness of breath in doing the smallest things.  I am too young for all that!  I decided to join Weight Watchers because I know a few people who have been successful with the program.  I've read about it, and it is really more of teaching you how to eat healthy unlike all those other programs that send you food.  How is that going to help you kick your unhealthy habits if you are not doing any of the leg work?  Weight Watchers will help me in my goal to be healthy.  I was beyond shocked during my first weigh in tonight.  I knew I had gained weight since my last doctors appointment (July 2011), but 23 pounds?!  It still has me kind of shocked, but I am using that to give me even more motivation.  I am using this blog to track my progress in this journey and I hope to use it as motivation to keep going until I reach my goal.
